Alex Fumero

Founder

Alex Fumero is an Emmy-nominated producer, creative developer and writer. Recent credits include Bienvenido a Necaxa (in production), Menudo: Forever Young (Max), which premiered at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival, Mucho Mucho Amor (Netflix), an Official Selection of the 2020 Sundance Film Festival, SxSW Film Festival, True/False, Miami Film Festival and more, and the critically-acclaimed sketch show, I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson (Netflix/Irony Point). He previously served as Vice President, Original Programming, for HBO, where his projects included 2 Dope Queens, Random Acts of Flyness, the Untitled Jon Stewart Project, All Def Comedy, Any Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons, Felipe Esparza: Translate This and Chris Gethard: Career Suicide, among others. Prior to joining HBO, Fumero was Senior Director of Programming & Development for Fusion. Fumero is a member of the Television Academy, the Latinx writer’s group G.O.A.L.S, and holds a BFA from NYU Tisch.

Kareem Tabsch

Founder

Kareem Tabsch is an Emmy-nominated filmmaker whose work focuses on documenting that which exists on the fringes of mainstream society. His feature films include Naked Ambition (2023), Mucho Mucho Amor (2020) and The Last Resort (2018) and the short film Dolphin Lover (2015). Tabsch's work has been included at prestigious festivals like Sundance, SXSW, HotDocs and has been featured in outlets like The New York Times, Los Angeles Times and NPR among others. In 2020, Tabsch's film Mucho Mucho Amor was named one of the 20 essential Latino Films by The New York Times. It was nominated for Emmy, GLADD, Imagen Awards and named Best Latinx Film by the National Association of Latino Independent Producers. He was named a '40 under 40' Documentary filmmaker by DocNYC, America's largest documentary film festival. Tabsch is a first-generation American of Latino and Middle Eastern descent. Rush Limbaugh once said his work was contributing to the decay of American Society.

Margaret Katcher

Head of Audio

Margaret Katcher is a graduate of UC Berkeley's School of Journalism. She’s a freelance reporter and audio producer, most recently the executive producer and editor of the second season of Crumbs, a bilingual audio memoir from iHeart’s My Cultura Network and Sonoro Media. She was the lead producer of Silenced: The Radio Murders winner of the National Press Club’s Arthur E. Rowse Award, and the lead producer of National Geographic’s The Trafficked Podcast with Mariana van Zeller.  She also serves as host of the Emmy-winning science video series Deep Look from KQED and PBS Digital Studios, which explores the unseen worlds around us in ultra-close detail.

She’s been a part of an investigative project at The Guardian and a researcher for forthcoming documentary The Kids Are Not Alright. She previously interned at the Brian Ross Investigative Unit at ABC News, where she contributed to "Life and Death at the Border," coverage of the London Bridge and Barcelona terror attacks, release of Pulse Nightclub police body-cam footage, and an investigation on Billion-Dollar Landlords

Joey Daoud

Head of AI

Joey Daoud is a filmmaker, media entrepreneur, and creative technologist. As Head of AI at Trojan Horse Media, he leads the company’s efforts to integrate artificial intelligence across development, production, and post-production, helping drive a forward-thinking, ethical approach to storytelling with new technology.

His Head of AI role is through a strategic partnership with VP Land, a media publication and production studio Daoud founded, focused on the intersection of filmmaking and emerging technology. VP Land spans a newsletter, YouTube channel, and original podcasts, including Denoised and Inside the AI Studio, which feature conversations with leading voices in AI, virtual production, and creative innovation.

An award-winning documentary filmmaker, Daoud’s work has appeared on Netflix, National Geographic, The New York Times, and other major platforms.

Elizabeth Schuetzle

Development Coordiantor

Elizabeth Schuetzle is a Development Coordinator at Trojan Horse Media, where she supports the company’s slate of projects across all stages of development and production. She plays a key role in project management, creative development, and production logistics—ranging from writing pitch materials and coordinating sizzle shoots to conducting editorial research and outreach.

Prior to joining Trojan Horse, she gained experience across film, television, and theater with roles at Industry Entertainment, Invisible Narratives, Showtime, Center Theater Group, and 3311 Productions. Elizabeth holds a degree in Theater and Political Economy from the University of Southern California, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with Renaissance Scholar distinction.
